Critical Care Unit Program Flexibility Requests
Select a facility to view the Critical Care Unit Program Flexibility request. You may comment on it if desired. You have 30 days from the submission date of the request to provide your comments.
A general acute care hospital may request the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to approve flexibility to designate a bed, or beds, in a critical care unit at a lower level of care. These critical care unit program flexibility requests must establish the need for the flexibility and document that the proposed alternative will not jeopardize the health, safety, and well-being of patients and that it is needed for increased operational efficiency.
The California Health and Safety Code section 1276(h)(2) requires that CDPH post a list of those facilities that have an approved Critical Care Unit program flexibility.
The following program flex has been withdrawn by the facility. The comment period for this program flex is no longer available.
